다솜은 크게 박수를 치고, 이마에 손을 얹고 말했다. “와! 대체 무슨 대단한 말을 크크… 좋아. 오히려 너~무 사소해서 맘에 들어. 보통 과거로 가서 부자가 된다거나 그런 시답잖은 이유밖에 없었던 말이야…? 한번 가보자고.”

신이 난 다솜은 테이블로 가서, 커피를 따르고 다나와 설아에게 한 잔씩 건넸다. “자! 이거 한 잔씩 마시라고 좋은 커피야. 속을 진정시키는 효과가 있자. 시간 여행을 가면, 속이 좀 울렁거릴 거라서 미리 마셔두는 게 좋아.”

설아는 커피를 반만 마시고 내려놓는 다솜에게 물었다. “왜 다솜님은 커피를 다 드시지 않는 거죠?”

다솜은 설아게게 싱긋 웃으며 타임머신의 작동 버튼을 누르고 말했다. “사실 카페인을 잘 안 받아서 한 잔 다 마시면 잠을 못 자거든. 그럼 가보자고!”

Seol-Ah bertemu lagi dengan Dana yang pergi ke Glacia untuk menghantarkan angin.

Dana memutar bola matanya lalu bertanya balik kepada Seol-Ah, “Ratu Es memintamu untuk pergi ke masa lalu kemudian menemuinya di sana…? Kalau begitu kamu harus menaiki mesin waktu, tetapi aku tidak bisa membuatnya.”

Seol-Ah merundukkan kepalanya lalu bertanya kepada Dana, “Kalau begitu, aku harus bagaimana? Padahal Ratu Es ingin menghancurkan Opalnya…”

Dana berpikir keras lalu berkata dengan ragu-ragu, “Hmm… Aku ada satu teman yang ahli di bidang perjalanan waktu. Tetapi dia… orangnya agak lain jadi kamu harus hati-hati. Aku akan ikut bersamamu.”

Seol-Ah pun pergi menuju komplek peneliti di Glasburg bersama Dana. Lalu di sudut komplek, mereka mendatangi sebuah rumah yang nampak aneh dan membuka pintunya.

Mereka menaiki tangga ditemani suara gemericik dan suara seseorang yang antusias. “Aha! Siapakah ini? Bukankah ini Dana yang dahulu kala melarangku berbuat masalah tapi dialah yang berbuat masalah dan pergi itu? Siapakah orang di belakangnya, apakah kau membawa marmut? Semakin banyak marmut, semakin bagus!”

Dana menutup mulut Seol-Ah lalu ia yang angkat bicara. “Tidak, dia bukan marmut. Tapi ia datang kemari karena tertarik dengan perjalanan waktu,” jawabnya. “Dia… si pembuat masalah yang terkenal di Glasburg, namanya Dasom,” sambungnya sambil berbisik kepada Seol-Ah.

Dasom melihat Seol-Ah dari kepala hingga kaki lalu berkata. “Oh, orang seperti ini tertarik pada ilmu pengetahuan ya. Apa yang ingin kamu lakukan?”

Seol-Ah berkata kepada Dasom yang memandanginya, “Aku ingin pergi ke 500 tahun lalu dan menemui Ratu Es. Ada hal yang ingin kusampaikan.”

Dasom bertepuk tangan dengan keras lalu meletakkan tangannya di keningnya. “Wah! Hal hebat apa tuh wkwk. Baiklah. Justru aku suka karena tu sa~ngat random. Biasanya orang mau ke masa lalu tuh supaya jadi tajir lah, atau alasan lain yang di luar nurul tau gak…? Ayo lah kita coba.”

Dasom yang antusias itu pergi ke meja, menuangkan kopi dan memberinya masing-masing segelas kepada Dana dan Seol-Ah. “Nah! Minumlah kopinya, dia bakal ngasih efek yang bagus buat perut kalian. Soalnya perjalanan waktu bikin perut gak enak. Jadi lebih baik minum sekarang.”

Seol-Ah melihat Dasom hanya meminum setengah gelas kopi lalu bertanya, “Kenapa Dasom tidak meminum semua kopinya?”

Dasom tersenyum kecil lalu menjawab sambil menekan tombol operasi mesin waktu itu. “Sebenarnya aku gak kuat minum kafein, kalau diminum semuanya bakal gak bisa tidur. Sudah siap kan? Ayo pergi!”

Seol-Ah met up again with Dana who went to Glacia to deliver the wind.

Dana rolled her eyes and asked Seol-Ah, “The Ice Queen asked you to go to the past and then meet her there…? Then you have to ride a time machine, but I can’t build one.”

Seol-Ah lowered her head and asked Dana, “What should I do then? The Ice Queen wants to destroy the Opal…”

Dana thought hard and then said hesitantly, “Hmm… I have a friend who is an expert in time travel. But she’s… a little different so you have to be careful. I’ll come with you.”

Seol-Ah went to the research area in Glasburg with Dana. At the corner of the area, they approached a strange-looking house and opened the door.

They climbed the stairs to the sound of gurgling and someone’s enthusiastic voice. “Aha! Who is this? Isn’t this the Dana who told me not to get into trouble a long time ago, but she was the one who got into trouble and left? Who is the person behind her, did you bring guinea pigs? The more guinea pigs, the better!”

Dana covered Seol-Ah’s mouth and then she spoke up. “No, she’s not a guinea pig. But she’s here because she’s interested in time travel,” she replied. “‘She’s… the famous troublemaker in Glasburg, her name is Dasom,’” she continued, whispering to Seol-Ah.

Dasom looked Seol-Ah over from head to toe and said. “Oh, someone like this is interested in science. What do you want to do?”

Seol-Ah said to Dasom who looked at her, “I want to go back 500 years and see the Ice Queen. I have something to say.”

Dasom clapped her hands loudly and put her hand on her forehead. “Wow! What a great thing. Alright. I actually like it because it’s so random. Usually people want to go to the past to become rich, or other reasons that are beyond comprehension, you know…? Let’s try it.”

The enthusiastic Dasom went to the table, poured coffee and gave a glass each to Dana and Seol-Ah. “Here! Drink the coffee, it has good effect on your stomach. Time travel makes your stomach upset. So it’s better to drink it now.”

Seol-Ah saw that Dasom only drank half the coffee and asked, “Why didn’t Dasom drink all the coffee?”

Dasom smiled and replied as she pressed the time machine’s operation button. “Actually I can’t drink caffeine, if I drink it all I won’t be able to sleep. Are you ready? Let’s go!”
